MAE HAIR

Mae Hair was founded in 2020 by a hair professional with about 15 years of industry experience, and the owner runs the salon directly. The stated aim is to help clients feel good about how they look while keeping their health and the environment in mind.

The salon uses ammonia-free luxury hair color, plus lower-toxic lightener and bleach, for its color services. Its O&M and Evo colors are free from ammonia, PPD, resorcinol, gluten, soy and animal ingredients. Styling products are chosen for lower toxicity, and lower-waste options are used when available.

Mae Hair is an appointment-only salon, open Tuesday through Saturday. Clients are asked to select every service they want when booking, because services not selected at booking may not be performed. Clients with booking or service questions can contact the salon before booking.

The salon is inside Salons by JC in Marietta, and it asks clients who are running late to get in touch. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean the service cannot be guaranteed and may require rescheduling. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice to avoid a no-show fee of 50% of the cost of the scheduled services.

The salon aims to keep the health of clients and the planet in mind, with a focus on low environmental impact through reduced waste and chemical use.
