The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday. Visits are by appointment, with walk-ins taken when an artist has availability. Clients are offered complimentary snacks and drinks, and the waiting area has mid-century modern styling and product shelving. The salon describes its atmosphere as upscale and relaxing, and it says it uses top-notch products in a clean facility. Artist stations and private suites are also available for beauty professionals to rent.
Booking with Nina requires a credit card, stored through the Gloss Genius booking app. The card may be charged and immediately refunded $1 to confirm it works. Changes need 24 hours' notice. Cancelling or rescheduling on shorter notice, or not arriving, carries a fee of 50% of the estimated service price. Clients who run late have their service shortened to fit the remaining time at the same price, though arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling and fees. Appointments outside normal business hours carry an additional 20% of the total service cost. A wait list is kept, and unfilled openings go to people on the list first and are then posted to social media.
The salon works as a collective of independent artists, each with their own schedule and policies, and says it prioritizes high-quality products and a clean space.
