Luxe & Co. grew out of the bridal and makeup business that founder Jennifer Frisina started as J.R.S. Makeup Artistry, first run from her home kitchen. That work later moved into a studio in West Islip, and the team grew to more than 13 people working on location at weddings and events. Luxe & Co. was created to run alongside that bridal and special event business, now based on West Main Street in Bay Shore.
The salon offers a long menu of hair and makeup services. Hair appointments range from blowdry styles named after luxury fashion houses and specialty blowouts such as Blow & Go, Bombshell Blowout and Just Curls, to cuts, root color, highlights and balayage, and tape-in, weft and clip-in extensions. Blowout packages of 6 or 12 come in standard, long or thick hair, and extension versions. Keratin and Magic Sleek treatments are offered for smoother, easier-to-style hair, and bar treatments such as a Conditioning Treatment, Crown Scalp Rub and a Luxe Scalp Detox with Head Massage can be added to a visit.
Makeup services include a full-face makeup option, with lashes and airbrush available as add-ons, as well as makeup for younger clients aged 10 and under and ages 11 to 14. On-location hair and makeup can be requested by email. The space can also host gatherings such as bachelorette parties, bridal and baby showers, birthdays and networking events, with light bites and drinks included.
Spray tanning is available in the salon, at home, and as group sessions for wedding parties and private events. Members can join a month-to-month Luxe Membership with member pricing on blowouts and products, a free birthday blowout and a monthly complimentary upgrade. The salon says its goal is a spa-like visit with efficient hair and makeup appointments.
