LUUM is headquartered in Oakland and lists four other locations. The Newport Beach location is inside Nordstrom, the Flower Mound and Naperville locations are inside Ulta, and the New York City location is inside Nordstrom and is listed as coming soon.

A visit starts with the lash set being mapped to the client's eye shape. Eyes are taped closed, and the robot applies extensions to both eyes at the same time. It pauses when the client moves and resumes once the client is still. A lash artist then perfects the final result. The adhesive is a photoinitiated cyanoacrylate that is cured with blue light, and the light is angled away from the eyes.

A refill begins with a lash artist removing grown-out extensions, prepping the natural lashes, and placing eye pads. The machine then applies the new set. Before extensions, lash artists check the condition of the natural lashes and may suggest options to strengthen them. Extensions typically last about three weeks, depending on the client's lash cycle. Refills are only offered within 24 days of a client's last LUUM appointment, and LUUM does not fill or remove lashes applied by another provider.

The business says blue-light bonding makes lashes last longer than manual application, and that many clients find the robot gentler than hand application. Cancellations or reschedules are requested at least 24 hours ahead. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service. Arriving more than 15 minutes late cancels or reschedules the appointment automatically, and service may be restricted for clients who have missed more than one appointment or arrived too late.
