Lush Lash has been operating for more than 21 years. The salon describes itself as a top destination for eyelash extensions in Florida and as Orlando's premier place for eyelash enhancements. Shelly Swift founded the business, which grew out of her earlier medical hair restoration work.
Clients book appointments only, since walk-ins are not accepted. The salon is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern. A 50% deposit by major credit card reserves a visit and is credited to the service charge. Clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes free of mascara and makeup, and cleansing liquid is available on site. Arriving at least 5 minutes early is requested, or 10 minutes for a first visit. The salon is a quiet zone, so phones are silenced during appointments.
A full set places a minimum of 250 extensions per eye, attached one at a time to natural lashes, and takes about two hours. Fills take one hour, extended fills and petite sets take 1.5 hours, and a fluff for established clients takes 30 minutes. The salon also offers chemo and radiation lash application, natural hair lash extensions for damaged lashes (priced at consultation), mink strip lashes and lash strips, brow shaping and brow design, and removal of lashes applied at another salon.
Packages are sold in 3-, 6-, 12-month and first-time formats for bi-weekly use. They are non-refundable, sold on a use-or-forfeit basis, non-transferable, and can be placed on hold for 90 days. Refills that need more than half the lashes replaced carry a higher fee, so clients are asked to discuss this with their stylist ahead of time. Lash enhancements should not be removed at home; clients should let them shed naturally or book a removal. Gift cards are available, with eyelash extension gifts starting at $125.
The salon relies on its own Lush Lash adhesive and what it describes as premium lash products. It says the adhesive offers a 4 to 6 week hold and performs best of the adhesives it knows of.
