Sugaring uses a paste of sugar, lemon and water applied at body temperature, and hair is removed in the direction of growth. The business says sugaring is gentler on the skin than waxing and can help reduce ingrown hairs. Hair should be about a quarter inch long, which is typically two to three weeks after shaving, so clients are asked not to shave between appointments. Most clients keep smooth skin for three to five weeks, and appointments every four to six weeks are recommended.
Every facial starts with a skin analysis, and treatments are adjusted to each client's skin needs and goals. Before facials, clients are asked to share any sensitivities, allergies, skin conditions or recent treatments. Booking requires a debit or credit card. Changes made at least 24 hours ahead can be made free of charge online. Later changes or missed appointments carry a 50% fee, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may lead to cancellation with the full price still applying. Emergencies are considered case by case if the studio is contacted as soon as possible.
