Lumière Permanent Makeup

Lumière is a studio in Edmonds focused on permanent makeup and paramedical tattooing. The business describes its aim as individual beauty and comfort, with each service tailored to the person in the chair.

Services fall into four groups: paramedical work, permanent makeup, tattoo removal, and training for artists. Consultations are complimentary and can be done virtually or in person. For paramedical services, pricing is set after the consultation, based on each client's goals. Payment plans are offered for all services, and clients can pay in store by phone.

Brow, lip and eyeliner work starts with mapping. For brows, the shape is mapped for each client and the shade is chosen to suit undertones and hair color. Lip blush follows a shade and border mapped to the lip shape, with a topical anesthetic used during the session. Powder brows are shaded by machine rather than drawn with strokes, and typically take one to two sessions plus a follow-up to refine shape and color. The site says they last two to five years depending on skin type, lifestyle and color choice.

Saline tattoo removal is offered for cosmetic tattoos, small body tattoos and microblading, including pigment that has healed gray, blue, red or too dark. The method uses no lasers. A hypertonic saline solution is used to draw pigment up and out of the skin during healing. Treatment usually takes two to eight sessions spaced eight to ten weeks apart.

The studio is a licensed Li-FT partner and offers Li-FT saline removal training for tattoo and permanent makeup artists. The course is an eight-hour, in-person day with a certified Li-FT trainer, with theory studied online beforehand. It includes two live model removal procedures, a student kit, and a certificate of completion. Theory is provided through Girlz Ink Academy, created by Teryn Darling. Ongoing support and business and marketing guidance continue after the class. Enrollment requires a $500 deposit, with the remaining $1,000 due by the class date, and Klarna and Afterpay plans are available.
