About

Lulu Tru opened in 2013 in historic Burton and was founded and is owned by Dawn. The building has been renovated and expanded over the years into the salon, spa and boutique that stand today.

The salon describes itself as a beauty collective for professionals in Northeast Ohio. Independent beauty and wellness professionals work from the space alongside members of the Lulu team, and all service providers work as independent contractors. Established stylists, nail technicians and beauty experts can rent a booth, paid as a weekly rent, and hair, nail, skin care and wellness professionals can also take on independent contractor roles. Stations are described as fully equipped.

Services cover hair color and cutting, nail care and nail art, facials and skin care, massage and waxing, all under one roof. Skin care leans toward organic lines, including Eminence, which the salon describes as a longtime favorite. Gift cards can be used for products only, and because not every provider accepts them, clients should check with their provider before booking.

The boutique carries Maui Jim sunglasses, 1820 House candles, Emily Lex Studio paper goods, teas, socks, clothing, accessories and gifts. It also stocks Wild Iris Apothecary, a bath and body line made in small batches at Lulu Tru.

Wellness-centered, with attention to the products used, the air quality and the overall salon environment.

Set in a renovated historic building, the space is shared by independent professionals and the Lulu team.
