The studio is in suite 250 on the second floor of the Scientific Building at 122 S Jackson Street, at the end of the hallway. The entrance stays locked between appointments, so clients find the studio by searching for LUI on the building callbox.

The studio describes itself as a quiet place where science and hands-on touch come together. Each treatment begins with understanding the client's skin, and treatments are shaped by observation and by what the client shares, so no two clients receive the same service.

Facials at LUI come in two versions. The LUI • 70 facial suits maintaining healthy skin or working on one main concern, and the LUI • 90 facial is recommended for first-time clients or anyone addressing several concerns. Every facial includes a skin consultation and analysis, a cleanse, a customized treatment mask, a restorative massage and home care recommendations. LED therapy, microcurrent, dermaplaning, high frequency and ultrasonic therapy are added when they suit the skin, at no extra charge.

Brow and lash services cover shaping, tinting, trimming, lash tinting, lash lifts, and brow, lip and chin work. Sugaring is also offered. Guests are discouraged because there is no waiting area, so clients who need to bring someone should ask first. Clients are asked to arrive on time and complete the intake form beforehand, and a late arrival may shorten the service so later appointments stay on schedule. Cancellations or changes need 48 hours' notice. Payment is by major credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and LUI does not take cash. Gift cards are sold online, and skincare products can be picked up at the studio or shipped.

Treatments are built around each client's skin, guided by observation and by what the client says they need, with a focus on understanding the skin before choosing a treatment.
