Lucid Head Spa is in Solana Beach, on the top floor of a complex on South Highway 101. Additional parking is available around the back at the top level.

The business centers its work on the scalp. Each treatment is described as results-driven scalp care, and each one takes place in a private treatment room.

Four named head spa treatments are matched to different concerns. Nourish & Nurture is for dry, itchy, flaky or congested scalps and finishes with a rough dry. Calm & Clarity is for dry scalp, dandruff, itchiness and buildup. Grow & Flow is for thinning, shedding or hair loss, with a therapeutic massage and a rough dry finish. Refresh & Relax is a 30-minute shampoo and conditioning service with a deep cleanse and extended scalp massage, intended as a lighter maintenance visit.

Styling can be added to Nourish & Nurture and Grow & Flow, and a blowout can be added to any head spa appointment. Clients with little or no hair, or who wear a wig or toupee, can still book. Sewn-in hair extension wefts are considered safe for treatments, while tape-in and keratin-bond extensions are not recommended. For clients with extensions, a treatment after removal is suggested for a deep cleanse before they are put back in.

Suggested timing depends on the goal. For hair loss or dandruff, the business suggests a treatment every four weeks for three to five months. For maintenance and relaxation, it suggests every six to eight weeks.

Each treatment begins with an in-depth microscopic scalp analysis, and the service is chosen from four named head spa treatments according to the concern.
