LTS Academy of Cosmetology was founded in 1998 as LTS Academy, and its beauty programs were rebranded under the current name in 2012. The school describes itself as serving the Merrimack Valley with career-focused education and says it has offered multilingual vocational training for more than 20 years. Its online shop trades as LTS Beauty Store.
The school states that its goal is to make education accessible to all students. Staff speak Spanish, and the programs are built for people starting a new career who may not yet know where to begin. Guidance is offered from the first day of training through preparation for licensure, and the school says its programs are led by instructors it describes as licensed.
The Nail Technician Program is 100 hours and combines classroom instruction with hands-on training. It covers manicuring, nail enhancements, nail art, sanitation and infection control, safety, and salon practices, and prepares students for the Massachusetts Nail Technician licensing examination.
The Esthetics Program is 600 hours, pairing theory with practical skills and hands-on clinical experience. Students learn skin analysis, facial treatments, cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage and masks, along with waxing for the face and body and introductory cosmetics such as color theory, makeup application, and basic lash and brow services. Massachusetts requires at least 600 hours through a Board-approved program for aesthetician licensure, plus an exam.
The Cosmetology Program is 1,000 hours and combines classroom education with hands-on training. It covers hair, skincare, nail care, sanitation, safety and professional practice, and prepares students for the Massachusetts cosmetologist examination. The license it leads to covers cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting, chemical treatments, permanent waving and hair straightening, along with nail services, basic skincare, makeup and hair removal within scope.
To enroll, prospective students call or email the school to schedule an appointment. A deposit is required to secure a spot in a program, and all program registrations are completed in person.
Programs are designed for people starting a new career who may not know where to begin, with guidance and support from the first day of training through preparation for licensure.
