Love Your Chelves

Love Your Chelves is a small studio in Suite 7 at 8765 Branch Ave in Clinton, Maryland. Owner and hairstylist Chelle Jackson focuses on hair for children ages 4 to 11, and the studio is set up to make young clients feel special, stylish and celebrated in the chair.

The menu starts with a Moisture Steam Session, a roughly 20-minute warm steam treatment that opens the hair cuticle and hydrates dry or brittle hair. The studio describes it as suited to natural hair, and it costs $35. The main services are styling packages sorted by hair length: above shoulder, shoulder, mid-back and below mid-back. Each base package covers cleansing and conditioning, a blow dry and styling with coordinating accessories, and takes roughly 120 to 210 minutes depending on length, starting from $95 to $130. Shampoo and style versions add a shampoo, conditioning or deep conditioning step and a tailored style, running about 90 to 180 minutes and starting from $100 to $135. The studio describes these shampoo and style services as salon-quality.

Hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 3 PM; the studio is closed Monday and Wednesday. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, or the full service is charged. Clients who are running late should let the studio know 15 minutes before their appointment; after 15 minutes the service may be cancelled with a full charge. Appointments can be rescheduled any time before the 24-hour window closes, and rescheduling inside that window counts as a cancellation.
