About

Louetta Foot and Ankle Specialists has provided podiatric care since 1988 and has offices at 8681 Louetta Road in Spring and at School Street in Tomball. The practice describes itself as a leading podiatry practice for greater Houston and names Northwest Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, Magnolia, Willowbrook, 1960 and Champions Forest among the areas it serves. Its doctors have more than 50 years of combined experience treating foot and ankle problems in patients of all ages. The practice says most of its patients are referred to it.

Medical care covers bunions, heel pain, ingrown and fungal toenails, foot pain, Morton's neuroma, tarsal tunnel syndrome, sports injuries, diabetic foot health and diabetic neuropathy. Custom orthotics are shoe inserts made from a mold of the patient's feet.

MLS laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light for pain and swelling. Sessions average about eight minutes, which the practice describes as painless. The site notes that the average course runs 7 to 10 sessions and should be completed as the doctor recommends, and the practice states that the therapy has been cleared by the FDA. For damaged or fungus-affected nails, the KeryFlex Nail Restoration System removes most of the damaged nail, bonds a new one, models resin over the nail bed and cures it under ultraviolet light for two minutes. According to the practice, it can take as little as 15 minutes, and afterward clients may wear nail polish and resume normal exercise.

Cosmetic services include a 30-minute chair side manicure at $30, with a hot towel, cuticle refining and a choice of polish, plus a $10 shellac add-on and a $25 paraffin hand treatment add-on. Pedicures run from a 30-minute reflexology pedicure at $45 through Diabetic's Delight, a 45-minute waterless pedicure at $55, Medi-Pedi at $65, Essential at $70 and Louetta Signature at $85. Services are performed by a state board licensed manicurist and pedicurist, with board-certified podiatrists onsite overseeing care and coordinating with a patient's doctor when needed. Products are described as pharmaceutical grade, non-occlusive and safe for diabetics. Implements are sterilized in a hospital-grade autoclave and kept sealed until use, and the pipeless pedicure chair is disinfected after each use. Waxing ranges from $10 for chin, ears, lip or nose to $40 for Brazilian or full face. Pedicures and physical rehabilitation are offered at Suite 100, across the hall from the Spring office.

A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for pedicure and spa appointments, otherwise a $25 charge applies. Patients are asked not to shave their legs within 24 hours of an appointment, and gratuities are accepted. The practice accepts Medicare, PPO, HMO and private healthcare network plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Texas Medicare, Tricare for Life and UnitedHealthcare among others, but does not accept Medicaid products, Medicare HMO plans or most Affordable Care Act plans. Payment is due in full at the visit unless the patient is enrolled in a managed care plan the practice participates in. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted, and CareCredit financing can be used for non-covered services such as laser nail treatments, but not for copays, deductibles or coinsurance. Both offices can be reached at 281-370-0648.

Each patient receives a treatment plan tailored to their needs, and the doctors take time to answer questions and teach patients how to care for their feet and ankles and avoid injury.
