Lou Imai opened the salon in Newport Beach in June 2016, and it now also has a second location in Hermosa Beach on Pacific Coast Highway. The salon focuses on natural beauty alongside organics, wellness and beauty, and its own tagline frames its mission as making a difference one client at a time.

Lash work is at the core of the menu. Classic, volume and hybrid eyelash extensions are offered in sets of 100, 150 or 200 pieces or fans, with touch ups available at two, three or four weeks. Extensions are applied with glue and lashes imported from Japan. The salon also offers a Japanese lash lift, lash tint, and brow lamination and tint, where the brow hairs are permed for a fuller, more even look and results can last four to six weeks with proper aftercare.

Beyond lashes and brows, the salon offers Japanese gel nails, including repairs, removals, Gel X sets, and gel manicures and pedicures with art options. A dry head spa uses hand massage of the scalp without water or oils. A full body massage is tailored to each client and blends Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, Thai and stretching techniques with sports massage, and it begins with a warm foot bath and sugar scrub. Hair and makeup is available for occasions, from natural looks to dramatic Hollywood styles, and permanent makeup is offered as well.

Visits are by appointment only, Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Cancelling or rescheduling less than 24 hours ahead carries a fee of the full reserved amount, and clients have a 10-minute grace period for lateness. Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent in the service room, and clients should mention a child when booking.

The salon centers on natural-looking beauty and on organic, wellness-minded care.
