Lore was founded by Nikki Durbin and was previously known as Betties. It is a boutique salon on High Street in Brandenburg, and it works by appointment only.

Every visit starts with a consultation so the stylist can learn your goals, daily routine, priorities and lifestyle. Stylists look at hair structure, level, tone, history, movement and condition before suggesting a look meant to fit everyday life. The first consultation is a complimentary 15-minute meeting with the stylist and does not include a service.

Services cover precision cutting and styling, color from glazes and tones through all-over color, highlights and balayage, and color correction, which is priced after an in-person consultation. Curl enhancement, perms, silk press and thermal straightening, hair extensions, brow shaping and tinting, deep conditioning and scalp treatments, and formal and bridal styling are also available. The salon says it uses professional-grade products that are safe, effective and eco-friendly.

Extension work requires a separate consultation, held at least two weeks before installation with a deposit. Clients can book online through Square or directly with Nikki, Whitney or Sabrina. Sabrina can also be reached by call or text at (502) 445-0319, and the main salon line is (502) 324-5120.

Each visit begins with a consultation, and stylists study hair structure, level, tone, history, movement and condition so that the result fits the client's daily life.
