The spa's starting point is that healthy hair grows from a healthy scalp. Every visit opens with a scalp analysis of about 10 minutes, including a high-magnification microscope scan of the scalp and follicles, and the treatment is then chosen from what the scan shows.
Formulas are Korean and free of sulfates, silicones and parabens, and the spa says it uses clean Korean formulas throughout. Treatments draw on acupressure, gua sha and herbal massage, and the spa says it keeps up with current scalp care methods. The Calm, a 90-minute treatment for sensitive scalps built on plant-based ingredients, is described by the spa as its most requested treatment.
Treatments take place on heated beds with bamboo sheets. The main room has six individual stations with privacy curtains, and there is a relaxation lounge with a minibar, a pedicure area and a curated retail space. Free parking is available in front of the building. The spa is not a medical clinic and works alongside clients' dermatologists on medical scalp concerns.
Services are by appointment only, booked online at loisheadspa.com. Hours are 10 AM to 8 PM Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Sunday, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Thursday. Pregnancy and postpartum rituals use plant-based oriental extracts, and the spa says every ingredient in them is vetted for safety. A confirmation from its neighbor, VITALITY Chiropractic, unlocks motherhood pricing on those rituals.
Built on the idea that a healthy scalp supports healthy hair, with each visit shaped by a microscope scan and treatments drawn from acupressure, gua sha and herbal massage.
Heated beds, bamboo sheets and curtained stations give the treatment space a quiet, private feel.
