Locs & Layers states that it has operated since 2012 and has served its community for more than a decade. It recently moved to a new location in the Conroe and Woodlands area, inside the Salon At The Outlets. The business is accepting new clients from Conroe and North Houston.

Most of the menu is built around loc and natural hair care. Loc installs, loc maintenance, haircare success and take-down visits, and straightening services are priced as all-inclusive appointments. Braids include shampoo but are not all-inclusive, and extension appointments are all-inclusive. New clients can book a consultation of about 25 minutes, and VIP appointments run about 40 minutes. Add-on services are booked for 15 minutes or more.

It sells a few of its own products, including a 4 oz hydration product and a growth oil serum, along with branded workout gear. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 7:30pm; Friday through Sunday is by appointment only.
