Mikea Nash started Locs 4Ever to offer more than a standard loc service, with the emphasis on the experience a client has in the chair. The studio's stated mission is to help empower others through self-care, and the business says it wants clients to feel valued, respected and cared for.

The salon offers scalp cleansing and care, loc detox sessions, palm roll and retie upkeep, loc styling, deep conditioning, and treatments aimed at specific hair concerns. Palm rolls cost $100 each. Each loc is rolled to strengthen its form, reduce frizz, and encourage even growth, with a gentle cleanse or scalp preparation added where needed. Interlocking, also $100, creates a secure hold at the root and can lengthen the gap between maintenance appointments. Micro locs, priced at $135, are very fine and light, and they require consistent upkeep to maintain their size. An apple cider vinegar rinse costs $25 and is meant to lift product buildup and residue; according to the salon, it also helps with an itchy scalp, flaking, and odor.

Starter locs and two-strand twists are a particular focus. Loc styles start at $30, and the final price depends on hair length and style type. A deposit is required for starter locs only; most other services need none. Appointments are booked through the Book Appointment button on the homepage, and changes need at least 24 to 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or no-shows without notice are charged 50% of the service cost, and a 10-minute grace period applies before a $10 late fee. Clients who arrive 15 minutes or more late must reschedule, and all services are non-refundable. Products such as a finishing hair spray, a citrus-scented scalp oil and a leave-in botanical oil mist are sold in the salon.
