Sisterlocks establishment begins with a consultation. The establishment package includes a 90-minute comprehensive consultation, a full establishment session, a customer starter kit and a 3-week follow-up appointment. Brotherlocks is the men's counterpart to Sisterlocks, designed for a neat, low-maintenance and professional locking system. Clients moving over from an existing locking system can book a transfer consultation, where the current locks are evaluated and a plan is made to keep them healthy.
New and transfer clients begin with a phone consultation, followed by an in-person second consultation before any establishment starts. Bookings and inquiries are handled by WhatsApp and email, and the studio is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Clients are asked to arrive with clean, dry hair unless told otherwise. Appointment length depends on hair density, length and condition, and advance booking is strongly encouraged. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before a service, with late-cancellation terms confirmed at booking. The founder also shares loc-care videos on a YouTube channel.
The salon takes a holistic approach, focused on the well-being of clients' locs and of the client. The Sisterlocks method uses no extensions, gels or waxes.
