Loc work is central to the menu: starter locs, retwists, loc pedals, crown-only retightening, crochet loc maintenance, loc extensions and several timed loc repair options, some with a master loctician. Grid restoration is available for Microlocs and Sisterlocks parts. Outside of locs, the salon offers hair color, cuts and trims, braids, roller sets and updos, as well as waxing, a demaplaning facial, a signature peel and makeup services, including makeup for family and friends.

New and transfer clients need a consultation before any service is performed. For transfer clients, the consultation reviews hair condition, washing and daily maintenance, shop policies and an estimate of retightening time. Bookings are made online with a credit card that reserves the appointment, and the schedule opens up to 60 days ahead. Because space is limited, visitors are not allowed unless they are being serviced.

Appointments have a 7-minute grace period, and clients running late are asked to call ahead. Arriving more than 15 minutes late incurs a $10 fee, and arriving 30 minutes or more late means the appointment must be rescheduled. Cancellations at least 24 hours ahead avoid a fee; later cancellations are charged 20% of the service or $50, whichever is greater. Same-day cancellations and no-call, no-show appointments are charged the full service price.

Education is a large part of the business. The training academy runs group and one-on-one classes for aspiring and professional locticians. Microlocs for Professionals is aimed at licensed stylists and braiders who want to offer Microlocs professionally, and covers installation methods, pattern techniques, parting, maintenance and client consultation. An advanced class focuses on grid correction, loc consistency and long-term maintenance, and a mentorship program offers one-on-one guidance on branding, growing a clientele and social media. Clients who already have locs can take the Self-Retightening Class to learn to retighten their own hair between visits. All classes are non-refundable and final sale, though group students who cannot attend may move their payment to the next available session.
