LOC'D Culture is a salon in Frisco, Texas, centered on natural, locked hair. The salon describes itself as full-service for all hair care needs, but its focus is locs, from establishing them through to ongoing care and retightening.
Establishment packages are the starting point. The Interlocks two-visit package covers a consultation, one locking session and a brick-layered grid, and does not include a follow-up visit. The Sisterlocks three-visit package adds locking sessions and a retightening appointment three to four weeks later, and includes a customer starter kit. Establishment packages require at least four inches of natural hair, and interlocking is the only locking method the salon offers.
Once locs are established, clients can book guided maintenance for retightening. A Signature Shampoo Service can be added at booking. The salon recommends washing locs every seven to ten days, and clients who establish their locs at the salon stay with the salon for maintenance unless they ask to go elsewhere.
Consultations open on the 20th of each month at 5 am for the following month, subject to availability. The salon is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, with Mondays and Tuesdays reserved for establishment appointments. It is closed on weekends.
