Little Clipperz

Little Clipperz is set up as a salon for children, though the menu also covers adult cuts, so parents and other family members can book in the same place. It operates from Studio #10 inside Sola Salons on Murrieta Hot Springs Road. The salon says its room is easygoing and friendly toward kids, and it has amenities meant to keep younger clients comfortable in the chair, including video games, movies, a car chair, stickers, organic lollipops and comfortable studio seating.

The owner has more than 20 years of experience in the hair industry. Bookings are made through the online portal or by texting the salon, and appointments are usually taken one to two months ahead. A cancellation list is kept by text for anyone hoping for an earlier time.

Haircut pricing runs from a $5 shampoo and $10 add-ons such as bang trims, beard trims and ear and neck line-ups, up to $25 for a child's first or standard haircut, $30 for an adult cut, and $35 to $45-plus for cut, shampoo and style packages. Style packages are listed as starting prices.

The salon offers first-haircut certificates, which include before and after photos and a lock of the child's hair. It also holds hair donation appointments: donated hair is measured, cut and sent to one of three nonprofit organizations, and donors receive 10% off the haircut. Clients can also take the donated hair home and send it themselves.

Cancellations or reschedules made less than two hours before an appointment carry a $10 fee for each 30 minutes scheduled, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean the appointment cannot be accommodated. Those fees are charged at the client's next visit. Appointments booked four months or more ahead may be moved depending on stylist availability.

The salon uses natural and organic styling products and runs on appointments only, so each child or adult gets a set time.
