Linda's Headquarters has operated for over 25 years as a wig shop in Skokie. The store carries human hair and synthetic wigs in several constructions, including lace front, hand-tied, monofilament and pre-styled styles, along with lace top and petite options from specific designers.

Fittings are private and one-on-one. Staff help clients choose a wig that suits their face shape, daily routine and comfort, and they guide each visit step by step: arriving, fitting, trying several styles, making custom adjustments and leaving with a wig. Private dressing rooms and a private fitting room are available for try-ons, and walk-ins are welcome during regular hours. Private appointments can be booked by phone.

The store also works with clients experiencing cancer-related hair loss, alopecia or thinning hair, as well as people exploring wigs for fashion or a change of look. Custom services include trimming, shaping and restyling, and wig sizing alongside coloring so a wig sits comfortably and looks natural. Lace human hair grip headbands can be sewn into a non-lace wig to give it a lace front look.

Pre-owned high-end human hair wigs are inspected for quality and listed at a lower price than their original cost. Synthetic wigs can be ordered in a specific color, usually delivered in two to three days. Orders are placed in person, though clients can also call or email to check availability. Hours vary, so the store recommends calling ahead.
