Like the Reyn has been operating for over eight years and describes its focus as all phases of healthy hair and beauty, with particular attention to locs. The salon also works with scalp concerns and styles hair around them. The owner, Reyn, works as a stylist alongside Sharina Canady.

The salon uses Reyn organic oils and edge controls in its styles. These are made in-house and sold through the salon, along with detangling and sheen sprays, growth-focused oils and a body butter. Shop orders can be placed online or in store, and gift cards are available from $25 to $1,000.

The menu is organized into add-ons, braids, brows, color, cornrows, hair, locs, natural hair, ponytails, twists, washes and weaves. Prices are listed for most services, and several are given as ranges because they depend on length, size or hair type. Some services, such as men's braids and instant locs, are priced by style or by inquiry.

Booking requires listing every service needed, such as washes or extra length, so enough time is set aside. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and are applied to the service price. Appointments are canceled 15 minutes after the start time if the client has not arrived, and missed appointments without notice prevent future bookings.

The salon offers a one-on-one braiding course for $350 that covers a single braiding technique. Regular clients are known as Reyn Dolls and Reyn Gents.

Focuses on healthy hair care, using organic oils made in-house and styling that takes the scalp into account.
