The clinic describes its approach as tailored to each patient, focused on prevention and built on collaboration. Its aim is to identify what is driving a symptom and treat that cause, not only the problem that is visible on the surface. Services cover women's health, pain, long-running and complicated cases, obesity, Bell's palsy, mood disorders, immune conditions, digestive problems, skin concerns and care after childbirth.
A first visit lasts 60 to 70 minutes. The first 20 to 30 minutes are spent on intake and a health evaluation, followed by acupuncture treatment. Follow-up revisits come in two lengths: a 45-minute Basic Acu revisit that requires an initial consultation, and a 70-minute Advance Acu revisit that requires an initial treatment. Advance revisits can add cupping, moxibustion, acupressure, manual therapy and Gua-Sha for an extra, discounted charge.
Herbal prescriptions are prepared after an individual diagnosis and combine single medicinal herbs into a customized formula. According to the clinic, a course of herbal treatment usually runs from one week to several months. Telemedicine consultations with Dr. Park take place by phone or video on Zoom or Google Meet, and prescribed herbs and supplements are delivered to homes within the United States, with shipping fees possibly applying. Telemedicine is offered only for certain conditions and may lead to an in-person visit. A prepaid gift certificate, priced around $150 or more, can be redeemed at a first visit.
The clinic works with American Specialty Health (ASH). Under ASH, the first visit covers 15 minutes, and the first acupuncture treatment happens on the second visit. Insurance generally covers musculoskeletal pain, but infertility, emotional disorders, hormone disorders, child growth and skin disease are generally not covered, and herbal medicine, herbal consultations, nutritional counseling, cupping and moxibustion are typically not covered. Clients are asked to check their own benefits before booking. Cash plans are available for same-day acupuncture or extended-time treatment. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations are charged 50% of the scheduled appointment cost.
Care is personalized, preventive and collaborative, aiming at the underlying source of symptoms rather than only what shows on the surface.
