Libre Hair Studio

Libre Hair Studio is in Albuquerque, at Moon Space Suites on Menaul Boulevard NE. The name Libre means free in Spanish. The studio began as a passion project and grew from a small studio into a larger one.

The studio aims to be a safe, welcoming space where clients can be themselves. It describes itself as a community where creativity, trust and emotional care come together.

Each stylist sets their own specialties and pricing, and some rent a chair while others work on commission. Clients can choose any stylist without being tied to one, and stylists often refer clients to each other. Hourly rates range from $45 to $110. Consultations are priced by each stylist and are mainly used for strand testing or in-depth discussion that needs to happen face to face.

Booking is possible through each stylist's own method, by call or text, or through the New Client Intake Form. Silent appointments without small talk are available on request. Sensory accommodations include off-peak booking, dimmed lights, and lower or no music on request. Tips are optional, accepted by some stylists, and can be paid in cash or by app.

According to the studio, two of its own stylists and other local stylist friends have placed in multiple global hair competitions.
