Layers By Lindsay is located at 6515 La Jolla Blvd, Suite 12, in La Jolla, a short walk from the beach. The studio is run by its owner and hairstylist, Lindsay Johnson, who describes the business as a blonding and keratin specialist.

Every visit includes a consultation, a scalp massage, a shampoo, a finishing rinse and a style. Color services range from root touch-ups and gloss or toner refreshes to highlights, balayage and all-over color, and the studio also offers haircuts for children, men and women, blowouts with or without curls, and keratin treatments in several lengths.

New clients are encouraged to book a phone consultation with their stylist before their first appointment. Clients should give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled on the day or missed are charged a 50% fee of the booked service, and a reminder text is sent 24 hours before each appointment. Cash and Venmo are preferred, and Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Studio hours are Monday 10am to 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 5pm. The studio is closed on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Bookings can be arranged by phone or text at 818.675.6534.

Works closely with each client to find a look that fits their lifestyle, and revisits recommendations as their hair and life change over time.
