The name refers to the laurel, which the salon notes stood for success and peace in ancient Rome.

Hair color is personalized to each client's needs and preferences. The salon also has a lash and brow studio, lilac Lash & Brow, which offers classic and customized lash extensions, lash lifts, brow and lash tints, and refills. The salon describes its styling methodology and customized service as exceptional.

Clients can book through an online portal or an email form, and bookings with the producer stylists must go through email. Color clients are asked to email a photo of their current hair and a reference photo before booking, and free in-person consultations are available for those who prefer them. Perms must be booked alongside a haircut. A $200 deposit applies to keratin treatments, Japanese straightening and perms, and can be refunded or moved to a new date up to 72 hours before the appointment. Cancelling within 24 hours costs 50 percent of the service, and a no-show is charged in full to the card on file. The salon is open Tuesday to Friday 11 AM to 8 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 7 PM, and closed Mondays. Clients can reach the salon by text or email, as it does not take phone calls. Cards and cash are accepted, while gratuities are cash only.
