The salon says it cleans, sterilizes and disinfects the space before opening, between clients and at closing each day, and that it has followed these sanitation measures for more than 30 years. Its service menu runs from color options such as Colorance, Cellophanes, Elumen and Top Chic root touch-ups and virgin color, to cuts, relaxers and short styles, plus thermal and silk pressed styling.
The salon's philosophy holds that relaxer services are not right for everyone, and that many of the styles clients want can be achieved with a thermal service. Thermal appointments begin with a hair and scalp analysis, which guides the choice of shampoo and conditioning treatment. Payment is accepted by Mastercard, Visa, debit and credit cards, with a 5.5% service fee on card payments, as well as cash. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice and must be made by speaking directly with the stylist, since text is not accepted; late cancellations and no-shows carry a $60 minimum fee applied to the next visit.
The salon takes the view that relaxers are not the answer for every client, and that a thermal service with a hair and scalp analysis can achieve many of the same looks.
