Visits start with a complimentary consultation, after which a treatment plan is designed for the client. Most clients need several sessions, since the number depends on the hair growth cycle, the area being treated and the method used. Sessions are booked in 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute lengths, and a topical anesthetic can be recommended to reduce discomfort. Before an appointment, clients are asked to avoid tweezing, waxing and depilatory creams for at least two weeks, though shaving is fine. Afterward, sun exposure, tanning beds and heavy sweating are best avoided for 24 to 48 hours.
Electrolysis works by inserting a fine needle into the follicle opening alongside the hair and applying a small electrical current to destroy the growth cells. The practice offers shortwave (thermolysis), galvanic and blend methods, and it follows infection prevention standards set by the American Electrology Association. It also describes investing in modern equipment.
Appointments are required, and office hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 4pm, plus Tuesday and Wednesday 9am to 5pm. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and late arrivals are charged from the originally scheduled time without extending the appointment. Payment is due at the visit in cash or check. Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Phone and text: 603-742-7442.
Plans are set after a personal consultation, and infection prevention follows American Electrology Association standards.
