Lashes by Mary is run by Mary, who works as the lash technician. Before each appointment she consults with the client to choose a style, which can range from natural to bold and voluminous.

Classic extensions suit clients who already have a good amount of natural lashes and want more length with a natural look. Hybrid extensions combine classic and volume work for a fuller but wispy finish. Volume extensions add four to eight fine lashes to each natural lash.

A full set of classic, hybrid or volume extensions is $180 and takes about 2.5 hours. A 90-minute fill costs $130. A fill needs at least 40 percent of the previous extensions to remain, and it must be booked within 21 days of the last visit; longer gaps are charged as a full set. Extensions last through the natural growth cycle, and a fill every two weeks is the most commonly recommended interval.

The lash lift curls and enhances natural lashes from the root and can be tinted. It costs $100, or $110 with tint, and results last approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Nothing needs to be removed afterward. Extensions are taken off with a gel that dissolves the adhesive, and clients are asked not to remove them at home.

Clients need to be at least 18 years old. Arrive with clean lashes and no makeup; anyone who needs to clean their lashes or use the restroom should come in 5 minutes early. A current credit card must be on file at booking. Cancelling or rescheduling within 48 hours incurs 50 percent of the service charge, and within 24 hours 100 percent. A no-show or a late arrival of more than 15 minutes is charged the full fee, and two no-shows forfeit future appointments.
