Lashes By Lindsey was founded by owner Lindsey Shaak and opened in January 2021 in a small suite on North Broad Street. Lash extensions are the core of the business, alongside lash lifts and tints, brow services, waxing, nails and spray tans. The salon is open 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, and every visit is booked in advance.

About

Lash sets are the largest part of the menu. Classic, Light & Airy, Flirty, Fairy, Hybrid and Volume full sets run from about $95 to $225 depending on style, and each takes roughly 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours. Refills run about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Lash lifts range from $95 for the classic lift alone to $120 for the keratin lift with tint, and the keratin lift uses vegan keratin in its solutions. The salon notes that the keratin lift is not recommended for pregnant women and asks clients to check with their doctor before booking. The salon says it was the first in Montgomery County to offer UV/LED lash extensions, and it lists regular sets at $240 to $275 with refills at $100 to $125.

The salon states it is Opal Free certified. Opal Free is a non-acrylate lash extension system that the salon describes as designed for sensitive or allergy-prone clients. Clients who want to check for a reaction can book a Sample Set for $30 or an Opal Free Patch Test for $35, which can only be booked with Lindsey Shaak.

Booking policies are set out clearly. Clients are 10 minutes of grace; anyone more than 10 minutes late has the appointment cancelled and is charged in full. Changes made the calendar day before are charged 35% of the service total, and same-day changes are charged in full. Cancellations and changes must be made by phone rather than email. New clients pay a nonrefundable retainer, 35% for most services and a flat $50 for full sets, and a $25 charge applies to the first refill for clients who have lashes from another provider. Free touch-ups for lash fallout are offered if reported within 48 hours. All services and products are nonrefundable. Card payments carry a 5% processing fee and Venmo a 3% fee, while cash, check and gift cards have no fee.

Lash work is built around the Opal Free non-acrylate system, which the salon describes as suited to sensitive or allergy-prone clients, with a patch test available before a full booking.
