Lash Levity

Lash Levity is run by co-owners Chelsea Root and Daphni Richardson and is located in Howell. Appointments are booked through the studio's GlossGenius page or by phone or text, and the studio is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, with weekends closed.

Clients are asked to arrive with no mascara, eyeliner or eyeshadow, and to come in three to five minutes early so they can finish any forms or waivers. Waivers can also be completed online before the visit. There is private parking behind the building, reached through the back door. Inside, calming music plays and heated relaxation mats are available. The studio says it wants each appointment to feel relaxing and caring.

The main services are Classic Full Sets, which apply one extension to each natural lash, and Volume Full Sets, which place a fan of lightweight extensions on each lash. Lift and Tint is a semi-permanent curl and tint for natural lashes, takes about 60 minutes, begins with a consultation, and is placed with a protective pad along the lower lash line. Results typically last four to eight weeks.

Fill appointments remove extensions that have grown out and replace any extensions where natural lashes were lost. A first fill is recommended two weeks after the initial set, and most clients come in for maintenance fills every two or three weeks. The three-week fill suits clients who still have at least 40 percent of their extensions at that point. The four-week fill needs at least 40 percent retained and is not recommended for regular maintenance. After four weeks, a full set is required instead of a fill.

The studio states that its artists are licensed and certified, that it employs only certified lash artists, and that the team is committed to safety, client education and continuing education to stay current with industry techniques.
