Each visit begins with a short consultation to match the style to the client's hair type, lifestyle and preference, and the salon offers style guidance for clients who are choosing a look. Clients are asked to arrive with clean hair that is washed and dried; a wash and blow dry, which takes about 30 minutes, can be added on site for $25 if needed. A care guide is given after styling so clients know how to look after their braids.

Regular synthetic braiding hair is included in every price, and braiding hair is included in kids' knotless, boho and box styles. The salon does not supply 100% human hair. Colors in stock are 1, 1B, 2, 4, 27, 30, 613, 350 and Burgundy, and clients may bring braiding hair in another color, since any style can be done in any color. For Bora Bora braids and for cornrows with weave in the back, the client brings the human hair or weave.

Prices are set by style, then length, then size, plus any extras. Length refers to where the finished braids fall on the body, not the length of the client's own hair. Regular sizes are the base price, jumbo is $30 less, large is $20 less, and extra-small is $30 to $100 more. Prices marked with a plus sign are starting prices, and for sizes or lengths not on the price chart, clients send a photo and receive a quote. Boho styles include two curly pieces free, with additional pairs priced separately.

The salon says its work centers on neat parts, consistent braid size, gentle tension and a finish that lasts, and that it installs braids with scalp health in mind and without pulling.
