The word Kur is German and can mean treatment, cure, medical care or therapy. The spa lies between Village Landing and Nelson Park, and guests can walk to historic downtown Plymouth from there.

The spa focuses on wellness and aims to keep a calm, organized space for healing. It does not currently offer Reiki or other energy-based modalities. The team is stated to be made up of Massachusetts licensed professionals. Each session is customized on the day of treatment, and every client needs an up-to-date health form on file before booking.

Visits take place in four waterfront treatment rooms with harbor views and natural light, each fitted with a HEPA filtration system, so up to four guests can be scheduled at one time. A separate guest waiting room has a fireplace and garden views. Parking on site is free, and walking paths lead to nearby parks and restaurants. The waterfront couples room has been newly renovated.

Facial products include Eminence Organic Skin Care, for which the spa is a certified partner and retailer. Massage treatments use doTERRA essential oils, the Magnesium Treatment foot massage uses Phytomer products, and the CBD treatment is a broad spectrum line free of THC and synthetic dyes and fragrances. The spa says it chooses products made with sustainably sourced ingredients. Massage runs from $145 to $420 depending on length and format, and facials range from $85 for a dermaplaning add-on to $165. Prices are subject to change without notice.

The spa is open Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. Cancellations made within 48 hours are charged 50% of the service price, and cancellations within 24 hours, no-shows and missed calls to the therapist are charged in full. Holistic Sea Massage, body wraps and couples sessions carry an automatic 20% gratuity. Spa groups of four or more can book a spa itinerary, with a 50% deposit to hold the date.
