Koukla Salon

Koukla Salon operates from 30C Hollis Street in Groton, which is its only location. Owner Tina Mallios dreamed of opening a salon of her own starting at age twelve, and the salon says it has operated since 2017.

Hair color is done with the CALURA color system, which the salon describes as using exothermic technology meant to help dye penetrate while limiting damage to the hair. Hair care comes from Oligo Professionnel, a line founded thirty years ago in Montréal as a research and development lab, and all of the salon's products are sulfate and paraben free.

A visit might begin with a cut or color from one of the stylists, a facial with the in-house esthetician, or a lash lift or tint. Nail services are offered through EllaDoesNails, who works inside the salon. Walk-ins are welcome, and booking requires a valid credit card, which is kept securely on file.

Clients are asked to give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are charged 50% of the scheduled service total, and cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged 100%. Late arrivals may receive a shortened service or be rescheduled, and cancellation fees may still apply.
