Kossof Salons manages beauty salons for senior living communities. Alan Kossof started his career in the beauty industry in 1998 and spent nearly 30 years in the family salon his father, Teddie Kossof, established. In 2005 he began focusing on running salons inside senior living communities, and the company has served these communities since then.

The company currently serves six communities across the northwest suburbs of Chicago: Vi at The Glen on Chicago's North Shore (Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm); North Shore Place in Northbrook, which offers assisted living, memory care and retirement apartments (Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm); Avidor Glenview, a 55-plus active adult apartment community (Friday, 9am to 3pm); Tamarisk NorthShore, a rental independent living community for adults 65 and over (Wednesday and Saturday, 9am to 3pm); The Garlands of Barrington, a custom home community (Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 3pm), which describes its signature services and lifestyle as award-winning; and Mather Place in a quiet Wilmette neighborhood (Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 3pm).

Services span hair, nails, skin, body, and salon and spa treatments. Massage is offered at Tamarisk NorthShore, where a 60-minute Swedish body massage is listed at $75 and a 60-minute deep tissue massage is listed at $85.

Families can plan regular care with a service authorization form that lists the beauty services to be performed on a schedule, and a credit card authorization form is available to download.
