Knott Street Dermatology brings medical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology together under one practice. The main office is in northeast Portland and a second location is in Milwaukie. The practice also uses the name Knott Street Aesthetics and describes itself as an all-in-one skin care center. Offices are open weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and are closed on weekends.

Medical care covers acne, rosacea, warts, atypical moles, full skin exams, patch testing and the evaluation of seborrheic and actinic keratoses. Treatment is offered for melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Full skin exams check the whole skin surface, and areas of concern are photographed so they can be compared at later visits. The practice has an in-house pathology laboratory.

Surgical care centers on skin cancer. Mohs micrographic surgery is performed by board-certified physicians, with tissue removed in stages and examined under a microscope while the patient waits. Excisional surgery, cryotherapy, topical chemotherapy and cryosurgery are also offered, and the practice makes oncology referrals when they are warranted.

The aesthetic side includes Botox, Xeomin and Dysport injections, dermal fillers, Kybella, Sculptra, laser and light treatments, PRP services, facials, microneedling, body contouring and cosmetic removal. Visits can begin with a virtual or in-person consultation, after which a treatment plan is made for each patient. Seasonal promotions, treatment packages and memberships are offered, and current specials are asked about at the visit. Treatments are described as private and confidential.

Some treatments are not performed during pregnancy, including elective lasers, light therapies, neuromodulators, fillers and laser hair removal. Patients are asked to list all of their medications, because some antibiotics and isotretinoin affect when laser and light treatments can be done.

Each patient receives a treatment plan after an initial consultation, and skin cancer treatment is chosen case by case, with patients informed of the reasonable options.
