The business describes itself as the largest Korean spa and sauna on the East Coast. It is built around the jjimjilbang bathhouse tradition and spreads across several levels, with lounges, a nap room, a healing room and an aroma lounge alongside the sauna and bath areas.
The facility offers ten different types of sauna rooms. Dry saunas are built from a range of materials, including gold leaf, amethyst stone, yellow ocher clay and Cheongito, a mineral soil the business calls energy soil. Other rooms use herbal, salt, ice and mud elements. The Bulhanjeungmak sauna is the hottest room, which the business designs for heavy sweating, and it is open only to guests aged 15 and older. A cold ice room sits between the hot saunas, and an infrared room offers infrared ray therapy.
Bath and wet sauna areas have separate women's and men's sections with hot pools. Guests must be fully nude in the bath areas and shower before entering the tubs. Men's and women's locker rooms are in separate locations, and women receive a towel and uniform at the front desk, while the men's outfit is provided in the men's locker room. Guests may also skip the bath house and go straight to the saunas in the spa uniform.
Admission is a general day pass, with weekday and weekend rates, or a six-month or one-year membership card. Admission tickets do not include any spa service. Visitors can eat in the restaurant, which prepares Korean and Japanese style main dishes in its own kitchen, or stop at the juice bar for fresh juices, a banana shake, ginger herbal tea and shikhye, a traditional Korean sweet rice drink. A complimentary round-trip shuttle runs between Manhattan and the spa on Fridays to Sundays and federal holidays, and several NJ Transit buses stop nearby.
The facility is built around the Korean bathhouse tradition and presents itself as a place to relax and refresh mind, body and soul.
A multi-level, sauna-focused facility with lounges, a nap room and a restaurant.
