Kids Kuts

Kids Kuts has been cutting children's hair in Springfield since 1992. The current owner, Dorothy Buck, first worked at the salon for about two and a half years before buying the business.

Visits don't require an appointment. Walk-ins are taken until 30 minutes before closing, depending on how many customers are waiting. Children can pick a frog, hippo or other animal chair, and they can choose a movie to watch during their haircut. A sports-themed area is also on site.

Kids' haircuts are offered for ages 1 to 16. Clipper cuts, buzz cuts, fades and blended surfer cuts are among the styles on the menu. Which cuts are possible depends on the child's hair type and texture, and the salon stands behind its work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Birthday parties typically run 90 minutes and can be extended on request. Each party includes a gift certificate for a free haircut and a goody bag, with nail polish added for girls. Parents may order food or bring it in.
