Kids Kuts

Kids Kuts is set up for young clients, from babies getting their first haircut through teenagers. The salon is designed to feel friendly and comfortable for little ones who may be nervous in a chair.

Younger children sit on carousel-style animal chairs in the shape of a horse, seal, frog or elephant. Decor features familiar cartoon characters, and a toy train circles the room and runs into a mountain feature during haircuts, which gives children something to watch while they sit.

Teens and older children who have outgrown the animal chairs can sit at a separate adult-style station. Parents can bring a camera or video device to record a child's first haircut.

The salon describes its service as quality, professional haircuts with personal attention. After each cut, children are rewarded with a sticker, a piece of candy from a jar and a toy from the Treasure Chest. A first haircut also comes with a certificate, a lock of hair and a first-haircut sticker to keep.

Kids Kuts also sells handmade headbands. They are reversible, machine washable and sized from about age three up to adults, and they are priced at $9.00 each or three for $24.00. Special headband orders can be arranged.

The salon focuses on making haircuts a positive experience for children, with a child-friendly setting and personal attention at every visit.
