New clients who want starter locs complete a consultation first, either by video chat or in person, and then have 30 days to book the loc journey appointment. The first retwist is recommended within four to five weeks, and the deposit is waived if that retwist is booked within two weeks of the starter appointment.

Instant locs are an option for clients who want to skip the starter stage. They are formed by backcombing or matting hair and adding crochet hair. Wicks, micro locs and a retwist for clients who have gone three or more months without maintenance are also offered.

The studio also teaches. Training costs $250 in total, with a $125 non-refundable deposit to hold a date and an extra $50 for Sisterlocs or microloc education.
