KelMcB Hair

KelMcB Hair is a small, owner-run studio at 504 East 4th Street in Royal Oak, where Kelly handles appointments herself. Kelly has been working in hair since 2012, starting at a blow-dry bar doing event styling before moving into full-service work.

Before going independent, Kelly spent 13 years at a traditional salon with the same employer. The studio now centers on cuts and color, along with event and wedding styling for clients who need hair done for a special occasion.

New clients are asked to book a short consultation before a full appointment, in person, by text, or by email. It is also a chance to ask questions. Because the studio is independent and may not always keep every product in full stock, the consultation helps confirm what is needed for a first visit. New clients also complete an online form covering the service they want, any current color, their budget, and optional inspiration photos.

Appointments need 24 hours' notice for cancellation. Cancelling without that notice carries a charge of 50% of the total service cost. Digital gift cards are available in $50, $100, $150 and $200 amounts, or in a custom amount.

Kelly books a consultation with new clients first so the service and any products can be planned before the first full appointment.
