Kelly's Electrolysis

Kelly's Electrolysis operates by appointment from Monday to Saturday, 9AM to 6PM, with late appointments available on request. A free consultation comes before any treatment, and rates are set individually once the consultation is complete. Payment is due at the time of treatment and can be made by cash, check, credit card, Venmo or Zelle, with a small processing fee on credit cards.

The practice offers hair removal for breasts and sensitive areas, including the areola. Its men's services cover the back, shoulders, ears, eyebrows and neckline, and include beard sculpting. Gender-affirming hair removal covers areas such as the face, chest, abdomen, arms and legs. Treatment is also offered for darker skin, coarse hair, and hair growth linked to hormone imbalance or PCOS. Electrolysis is available on many areas, among them the face, eyebrows, chin, lip, jaw, underarms, abdomen, legs, feet and back.

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine probe into each follicle and applying a small electrical current to destroy the growth cells. The practice uses three modalities, Shortwave (Thermolysis), Galvanic and Blend, on an Apilus Senior electrolysis system. Topical anesthetics can be recommended to ease discomfort. The practice describes electrolysis as the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal, and it follows infection prevention standards set by the American Electrology Association.

Before sessions, clients may shave, but plucking, waxing and depilatories should be avoided for at least two weeks before and between appointments. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and late arrivals are charged the full scheduled appointment, with sessions not extended. Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Treatment is planned around each client's needs, with infection prevention handled to the standards of the American Electrology Association.
