The founder has been making soaps and butters for more than 25 years, beginning with formulas for sensitive skin in the family. The business started as a quiet place for self care, and it says its services are all-natural and offered in a non-toxic setting.

The family shares the work. The founder's husband makes the candles, and a daughter oversees the esthetics services and the team. Candles, soaps, butters, scrubs and other products are made in-house and sold in the shop, alongside a small selection of items from other makers.

Signature offerings include the Bloom Facial for first-time clients, a 50-minute fruit-enzyme facial with no added acids, and the Anti Aging Lift & Sculpt Facial, which uses Obagi Elastiderm products. H2O hydro-dermabrasion is also offered, though it should not be booked within five days of facial waxing or after Botox, retinol or Retin A. The Calm & Rebalancing Pedicure is a five-step service with nail trimming and polish, and Structured Manicures use builder gel.

Visits are by appointment only and must be secured with a credit card. The business is open Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 5pm, Friday from 11am to 6pm, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm, with the last appointment at 5pm Thursday through Saturday. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice; same-day cancellations are charged 25% of the service to the card. Clients have a 5-minute grace period, and arriving more than 7 minutes late carries a $10 service charge and possible rescheduling.

Orchid ($65 per month) and Tulip ($135 per month) memberships are prepaid and secured by a card on file, and include recurring services; Tulip adds Gel X. Private Bloom Parties are two-hour events for 4 to 8 guests aged 7 and up, with a single service, light snacks and a custom scrub class, and require a $100 deposit. Gift cards are available for products and natural services. The business no longer accepts Spa Finder.
