Karma Polish

Karma Polish is a small nail salon in Lyndhurst, Ohio, run by its owner, Neta. The business presents a nail appointment as an experience rather than only a quick beauty errand, with the aim of leaving clients refreshed and feeling confident in their nails. According to the salon, its service is superior and personalized.

The menu is built around dry E-file manicures. The E-File + Gel Application pairs that technique with gel color, which the salon says lasts two to three weeks without chipping or peeling. The E-File + Structure Gel adds a structure gel base layer and runs about an hour and a half. For added length, the E-File + Nails Extension is a gel overlay on natural nails, which the salon says holds for up to three weeks and takes about two hours. Custom nail art designs are available, and nail repair covers broken or chipped nails.

New clients can have old gel polish removed at a first-time price. The salon advises redoing nails every three to four weeks and not going longer than four weeks between visits. Clients are also encouraged to use cuticle oil twice a day, especially in winter.

The salon is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 am to 2:30 pm and Thursday and Friday from 10 am to noon, and is closed on weekends. Payment is due at the time of service, by cash, card or Zelle. Appointments are booked back to back, so clients are asked to give 24 hours' notice to cancel. A late cancellation or no-show carries a fee of half the service price, and rebooking happens once that fee is paid. Arriving 15 minutes or more late may shorten the service.

Karma Polish also offers a two-day Russian Manicure Intensive for nail professionals. Day one covers product and tool knowledge, nail prep and shaping, E-file technique, use of scissors and nippers, product selection, structure and strengthening, and application close to the cuticle. On day two, each student performs a full service on their own model with instructor feedback. Training includes a professional product kit valued at $150, a certificate of completion, and continued support afterward. Private one-on-one training is $1,200, and small groups of two to three students pay $850 each.

Each visit is meant to be more than a routine polish change, with the goal of leaving clients refreshed and more confident in their nails.
