Karma Organic Spa began as a wellness-focused spa and later grew into a nail care brand called Karma Naturals. He designed the Ridgewood space himself and created his own line of non-toxic nail care products. The salon was founded after years of working with conventional beauty products, with the aim of giving clients a place where they are not exposed to the chemicals common in many standard salon products.

The space was built with natural, non-toxic and recycled materials, including eco-friendly wall finishes and bamboo flooring. Cleaning is done with non-toxic, green products, and the atmosphere is calm and Zen-like. For safety, staff wear nitrile gloves during services, surfaces are disinfected between clients, disposable supplies are used, and there is a handwashing station. Pedicures use liners, and bowls are brought to the client's chair. The salon is accessible for people with disabilities, is child-friendly, offers Wi-Fi, and accepts credit cards. Gift cards and service packages are available.

Pedicures run from $15 for children up to 9 to $80 for the most elaborate option. Mani-pedi combinations include a children's version for $25 and a full adult version for $65. Each signature service is built around a particular soak, scrub, mask and massage, and the adult services range in length from 30 minutes for a manicure to 1 hour 30 minutes for the longer pedicures and mani-pedis. Add-ons include a French manicure or pedicure for $10, an extra massage for $15, and callus removal for $10 on select pedicures.

Organic waxing covers the face, body and intimate areas. Facial waxing starts at $10 for the chin, $15 for the brow or lip, and $20 for the cheek. Body and intimate waxing starts at $20 for the underarm, $30 for the bikini, $50 for the back, $55 for a full leg and $65 for a Brazilian. A polish change, which includes removing old polish, filing and applying new polish, is also available for $10.

The salon sells its own nail products, including vegan, cruelty-free and halal certified polishes, nail treatments, cuticle and nail oils, a soy-based polish remover, skin and hair care, essential oils, lotions, scrubs, foot peel masks and shampoo bars. There are gift sets, a build-your-own nail care set and a kids-friendly line. The business says more than 50,000 women use its nail products.
