About

Kaori sits at 871 South Miami Ave in Miami's Brickell neighborhood. The concept centers on sound: the room is built around Hi-Fi audio, and the Listening Bar is designed for guests to pay attention to the music rather than dance to it.

The kitchen cooks with fermentation at its core and builds the menu around seasonal produce, so dishes change with the seasons. The restaurant says its menu is free of seed oils. Among the signature dishes, a whole Pekin duck is brined for 12 hours in five-spice and then dry-aged for at least seven days, and the Char Siu is made with Niman Ranch Iberian pork chop. Japanese milk bread comes with house cultured butter.

Dinner is served Monday to Wednesday from 6PM to 10PM and Thursday to Saturday from 6PM to 1AM. Happy hour runs Monday through Saturday from 5PM to 7PM, with discounted bites, cocktails, and house beer and wine. Reservations can be made through Resy or by emailing reservations@kaorimiami.com, or by calling +1 (786) 848-5900.

For private events, the Private Room seats up to 16 or holds 25 standing. The main dining rooms seat up to 35 and 25 guests, or 60 combined, the Lounge seats up to 30 or holds up to 60 for receptions, and a full buyout accommodates up to 120 seated guests. Event inquiries go to events@kaorimiami.com or 786-878-4493.

The menu follows the seasons, relies on fermentation in the kitchen, and is stated to be free of seed oils.

A listening-focused room built around Hi-Fi sound, designed for attentive listening more than dancing.
