Appointments are made by phone or through online booking. The spa does not take walk-ins and has no in-house receptionist, so clients should plan ahead. Hair should be at least a quarter inch long before a visit, so clients are asked not to shave or trim beforehand.

The spa uses a hard wax made from plant rosin, beeswax and cocoa extract. It is made in the U.S., and the spa describes it as all natural and sustainably sourced. The wax is said to remove about 99% of hair roots and is suited to thick hair and facial work. Each treatment uses a fresh glove and a fresh paper bed, and wax is not double-dipped. Hair typically takes around two weeks to return, and the spa recommends visits every four to six weeks.

Before a visit, clients using Retin-A, Differin or Accutane should not book waxes, and those products should be stopped one to two weeks ahead. Anyone who took antibiotics in the six weeks before waxing should mention it to the esthetician. A pain reliever may be taken at least 30 minutes before treatment. Afterward, a cool aloe vera gel is applied. Dry exfoliation is recommended between appointments, with no exfoliating until two days after waxing. Pools, hot tubs and saunas are best avoided for 24 to 48 hours.

Packages are available: three waxing services for $120 or five for $200, with no expiration date. The Brazilian shapes are described clearly. A full Brazilian removes hair from about two inches out from the bikini line, including the front, labia and back, and can leave a strip, bush or triangle in front. A standard bikini covers the area around the bikini line, including the sides and top. A tight bikini sits between the two, leaving some hair on top and the labia depending on the client.

Each service uses a fresh glove and paper bed, and the wax is not reused between clients, with a focus on sanitary, single-use practice.
