Kalon Hair Studio Powell

Kalon Hair Studio opened in Worthington, its original location. About two years later the Powell studio opened. Kendyll is the owner and founder, and the salon was set up to give stylists freedom, autonomy, and room to build their own brands.

Rather than a fixed staff, the salon works with independent stylists. Each one owns their business and brand, sets their own service menu, pricing, and schedule, and works from within the salon. Worthington has all independent stylists, and Powell has eight. The salon describes itself as one of the first in the area to work this way, and describes its team as central Ohio's top independent artists.

Booking is done with each stylist through their own scheduling link on the website. Walk-ins are not accepted, and questions about specific services or prices go to the stylist you choose.

The menu covers signature haircuts for women, men, and children, precision cuts, and personalized hair color. Extensions are installed using hand-tied, tape row, and K-tip methods. Lash, brow, and facial services are also offered at a high-end level.

The salon is built around independent stylists who run their own businesses, brands, menus, and schedules within one studio.
